I grade on a 4 point proficiency scale. When you see a score in ParentVUE or StudentVUE, it will be out of 4 points. If you wish to convert a social studies grade back to a traditional grading scale, simply divide your student's score by 4 and multiple by 100 to find their percentage.
Maria has a grade of 3.32 in Social Studies. 3.32/4=.83 and .83 x 100 = 83%, or a traditional B.
Students are graded based on their ability to demonstrate mastery on the standards established by the Oregon Department of Education. Grades are an average of assessments, notebook work, and class participation (including homework). Assessments count for the majority of a student's grade.
